Camden Market opens late on Thursdays for summer with free prosecco for bookings
Camden Market is opening its North Yard until 9pm every Thursday throughout July and August, introducing a series of late-night markets for the first time. The extended evenings give visitors access to food stalls, drinks and independent retailers after the market’s usual closing hours to make the most of the summer’s balmy evenings.
A range of eateries are staying open into the evening as part of the programme, including Asador, who serve Argentine steak sandwiches, Mediterranean grill Sizzl, Piadina Mia with their signature Italian flatbreads and M’eat The Vegans, the self-proclaimed multi-cuisine destination that brings together five separate plant-based kitchens under one roof. For dessert, Humble Crumble and Hans & Gretel will have late-night sweet treats to keep diners buzzing.
Meanwhile, there’s a whole slew of independent retailers staying open beyond their usual hours to ply the summer crowds with their wares. Among the shops taking part are The Hammer Silver, who sell bespoke jewellery, The Arc, specialising in vintage fashion from the 30s to the 80s, and more.
To mark the launch, anyone who books a free ticket online will be able to claim a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. The offer is available between 5 and 9pm, while stocks last, and strictly those aged 18 and over can claim it at Epicurus, Ester, Pick & Cheese, Sizzl or M’eat The Vegans.
For those who don’t enjoy bubbles, there are plenty more options. Ester will sell pints of Camden-brewed 3 Locks Beer for £5, while Epicurus will offer cocktails priced at £6 and Pick & Cheese will serve natural wine alongside British cheese pairings.
The iconic Camden Market is one of London’s best-loved food and shopping destinations, attracting visitors throughout the year to its network of stalls, shops and eateries in the area around Camden Lock and the Regent’s Canal. The North Yard Night Markets are part of the market’s summer programming, with free events on all summer. There will be live music and sports screenings, fun for families, day-long Bank Holiday programming and even a party to launch the World DJ Championships. Tickets for all of these can be reserved through Eventbrite – and those keen to pick up their free prosecco will need to present a valid ticket or event flyer at one of the participating stalls.
