June jewellery crush: Gypsy East

June jewellery crush: Gypsy East

When we discovered Gypsy East here at The Upcoming, it was like all our dreams had come true at once, and it is all down to three very special girls.gypsy 1

On being presented with the Gypsy East website, a video begins to play and in locations across the UK, girls covered in gypsy style jewels are setting off coloured smoke crackers. Beautiful and effortless, the girls model and show the ideas behind this fabulous brand and make you want to be in every single one of their shoes. This video, however, somehow manages to gives you butterflies in your stomach and allows you to have that tingly feeling of being right in the middle of festival season all over again; the sense of freedom and the feeling of romance. What isn’t there to love about that?gypsy 2

Gypsy East is described as “a travelling clan making things by hand” and was started by three friends Olivia, Emily and Sylvie. Basing the ideas for their brand on creating one-of-a-kind, unique pieces, the girls pride themselves on using vintage jewels and crystals they have found on their adventures around the globe. Today, they now stock a range of jewellery sourced from travels through India as well as bespoke, handcrafted floral head crowns.gypsy 3

Establishing themselves as a creative base has allowed the brand to shine to its upmost. By using photography, illustration, film and art, the Gypsy East girls have managed to create a brand image like no other and we think their work is sheer perfection.
