The jeans that charge your iPhone
LA-based denim brand Joe’s Jeans may be on to a winning solution with the launch of their new #hello jean.
The skinnies come in four different colour washes and retail at $189, but the unique factor is the iPhone charger that allows you to power up while you play, or sit. There is also a hidden pocket that keeps the phone just above the buttocks so you can sit down without crushing your device.
The battery pack actually has to be purchased separately, at a costly $49 on top of the price of the jeans themselves. The sleek pack slides into the waistband and there is a power cord hidden in the seams of the denim to connect it to your mobile phone. The charger will charge the iPhone 5 and 5s to 100% and the iPhone 6 up to 85%, although you will have trouble fitting the 6 into the tiny pockets currently designed to fit the smaller phone.
A good idea? Maybe. You will certainly have to check your pockets before chucking these in the wash.
