Calvin Klein’s “up-skirt” campaign sparks controversy

Calvin Klein’s “up-skirt” campaign sparks controversy

Calvin Klein is known for featuring their branded underwear in racy campaigns. Most recently, ads from Calvin Klein have involved familiar famous faces including FKA Twigs and Kendall Jenner. However, their latest advert has caused much controversy.

The photograph in question, of Danish actress Klara Kristin, has been shot up her skirt, clearly showing her underwear. Once again, it follows previous campaigns by displaying the slogan “I flash in #mycalvins”.

Calvin Klein has been accused of releasing a “sexist” photo and many users on Instagram have been sharing their opinions. Some say the photograph is simple and somewhat iconic, whilst others argue the photo is objectifying women. Nevertheless, both Harley Weir, the fashion photographer that took the shot, and Klara Kristin, appear to be happy with the image.
