Goodbye Christopher Robin explores the untold tale of how author AA Milne came to write the beloved children’s books Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. Spanning the years after Milne’s return from the war, the story follows the difficult relationship between Milne and his son Christopher Robin Milne, who inspired his father with his fanciful musings of toys coming to life in a forest.

We caught up with starlet Margot Robbie who plays AA Milnes’s wife, Daphne, to find out why she got involved, what it was like working with co-star Domnhall Gleeson and how she thinks of women’s roles as supporting cast.

Andy Serkis, the most prominent motion capture actor, also joined the red carpet. We talked with him about The Jungle Book and his upcoming directorial debut Breathe that on 4th October will launch the London Film Festival.

We also had a chat with the film’s director, Simon Curtis, to discuss what lead him to take this story and bring it to the big screen, actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, young actor Will Tilston, producer Damian Jones, screenwriter Frank Cottrell-Boyce and author Ann Thwait.
