The world’s most shocking t-shirt?

The world’s most shocking t-shirt?

The ability to wear anything with no judgement in London is fast approaching – well at least this is what we thought at The Upcoming, until we stumbled across Monroe Apparel. And if you thought a t-shirt could no longer make a statement or shock, wait until we show you the Torso collection.

For starters, let us look at the torso t-shirts and at one of their most iconic designs of the Black Label, called Original Delicious. This design depicts a woman with an interesting substance – we are guessing milk or yoghurt – dribbling out of her mouth. These were originally designed as t-shirts for the mature audience and there have been various ladies depicted all with the same dribble. The latest one features a black haired woman and is priced at £25.00; it does carry a warning label of “Heads will turn, Necks will break, But please try not to get slapped or kicked out of your local supermarket.”

This might be shocking, but the rest of the collection creates a stir as well. Here at The Upcoming we adore the uniqueness of every t-shirt from vintage floral patterns to sneaker sailor freaks. Then there are the tattooed Monroe and the Bambi revenge jumpers; could you get any more different? Yes, just take a look at The Sheffield takeovers Skull and Bones Boys Club, the Moomins, or even Erin Elizabeth Kelly and a twiggy twist.

Surprisingly, even in this heat they are still sold out of their amazing bobble hats and there are also the prints. We have shown you the best and hopefully got your taste buds racing so we urge you to explore further here
