A preview of Taste Tuesdays, London’s latest recurring series of bespoke intimate dinners

A preview of Taste Tuesdays, London’s latest recurring series of bespoke intimate dinners

Taste started in London, went global and now they aim to get as intimate as possible by organising dining experiences every first Tuesday of the month. Tonight, while we sample the preview of this recurring event, another group of press and food people are experiencing the same in Paris at Pierre Sang – and earlier on another one took place on the other side of the world, in Sydney.

The initiative is to create a global platform to connect foodies in cosy communal settings. With collaborations between some of the world’s top chefs, Taste are striving to offer a border-crossing gourmet experience like no other. On top of this, diners can learn more about the the personality behind every plate. Through their inspired new menus, the chefs will give insight into their culinary philosophy, offering diners a window into cutting-edge cookery.

We are at Barrafina Adelaide where the event will take place for the public on 8th May – the bespoke menu dubbed as “London on the Plate” – as well as at Club Gascon – where the offer will be “Taste Through the Ages”. In spite of Brexit, this launch relies on Spanish and French cuisine. It seems politics are no match for the organisation’s international appetite – and for this, we can be thankful.

On the first night, diners will be treated to dishes invidually designed and delivered by chefs Angel Zapata Martin and Pascal Aussignac, each proposing their interpretation of what makes the capital’s restaurant scene so revered worldwide. On top of specially tailored wine pairings, the menu will cater for its thirstiest customers with an aperitif and a digestif cocktail.

Today Zapata Martin gives us a delicious taste of Spain: Anchoas del Cantabrico ‘000’, Confit Salad Cod, Iberian Pork Cheeks and Leche Frita.  Because of the intimate nature of these dinners, spaces are very limited –  so make sure you nab yours.
