Cocktail maestro Tony Conigliaro has launched the Asahi Moon Garden, an extension to his Dalston bar Untitled, which opened in 2017 with a Japanese-influenced food menu. The new outdoor area gives customers the chance to drink and dine al fresco throughout the summer, offering an extensive sake list and garden cocktail menu as well as a free-flowing supply from premium beer brand Asahi Super Dry, with whom the new venture is partnered.

On top of this, the 20-cover decked expansion boasts a charcoal grill and a vibrant herb wall to provide the freshest of ingredients. The Zen space was designed by Jasmin and Tom at Soho & Co, and the duo, regulars at the restaurant, were inspired by historic Japanese temple gardens.

Every weekend the garden hosts a Japanese-style yakitori open grill.  Both meat and vegetable skewer options are available (as well as a vegan option), from 6pm through to 10pm every Saturday and Sunday. In addition, alongside options from Untitled’s talented executive chef Rob Roy Cameron (ex-El Bulli), on select Sundays throughout the summer, guest chefs from some of London’s leading restaurants will take the reins of the open-air grill. Some of those confirmed for this lineup of one-off specials include Soho ramen favourite Koya and Peckham’s trendy neighbourhood restaurant Aside, with more names to follow.

If you want to experience a BBQ with a twist – and great cocktails – be sure to head over to Untitled this summer.
