Best cafés in and around Milton Keynes

Coffee chains like Costa and Starbucks are where you’ll find most tourists. However, if you’re looking for a cup of coffee that has been made with love, you need to visit the many small but fabulous independent cafés in Milton Keynes. If you’re visiting from out of town, hotels in Milton Keynes near Xscape & Woburn Safari Park can provide you with a comfortable stay during your visit.

The coffee at independent coffee houses is certainly better than any international chain. The reason to visit the local café, instead of the big chains, is that you would get a flavour of the town’s culture and get to meet its people. Milton Keynes is popular even in London for its independent cafés and they are a must visit for all tourists here.

Here’s a look at five must-try cafés in town.

1. Bogota Coffee Company – The Hub

This little gem in The Hub has flourished despite the many international coffee chains nearby. It is among the best-loved places in Milton Keynes. The coffee here is delicious and the place boasts great ambience and polite and friendly staff. What more can one ask for?

4. Carlo’s Coffee Kitchen – Markets

Carlo’s Coffee Kitchen is at Bletchley Market every Saturday from 9am until 4pm, also at Olney Farmer’s Market on the first Sunday of every month from 9am until 1pm. Carlo Scarito began to explore his passion for coffee and roasting with his first job as barista, now he’s Milton Keynes’ only coffee roaster.

3. Fourth & Fifth – Central Milton Keynes

Fourth & Fifth is a sister café to Bogota Coffee Company. So, the coffee here is just as amazing. The place offers great food for breakfast and brunch too. Also, it has a lovely yellow and black interior design, which makes it a great spot to take pictures for your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

4. Xpresso Net – Xscape

Xpresso Net is an internet café cum coffeehouse inside the Xscape building. You can eat delicious toasties and paninis at while you’re taking a break from Xscape’s fun adventure activities. At the same time, you can browse through the internet at great speed. The hot and cold drinks served here are very good.

5. Out of Office Coffee – Stony Stratford

This little shop in Stony Stratford has been so successful that it has opened branches at two more locations in town. It offers excellent coffee but is best known for its delectable cakes. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to spend your Sunday afternoon after a night on the town, then this is the place to be at.

If you’re planning to visit the beautiful town of Milton Keynes, choose to stay at hotels near Xscape & Woburn Safari Park that can provide you with the luxury and comfort that you seek at affordable prices. And don’t forget to visit Central Shopping at Milton Keynes.
