Eataly introduces Italian buffet brunch at Liverpool Street restaurant

Eataly London has launched a new Italian Sunday Brunch, offering a buffet-style dining experience every Sunday at its Pasta e Pizza’s Cucina del Mercato restaurant. The event, which began this June, runs weekly from 11.30am to 3pm at the Liverpool Street location, aiming to bring the Italian tradition of lengthy, convivial meals to the heart of the city. Pricing is set at £35 per person, and families and groups of friends seeking a relaxed atmosphere are welcome. Eataly states that the offering is intended to provide a different take on the traditional British brunch, moving away from typical fare such as eggs and avocado in favour of classic Italian recipes, with the aim to replicate the leisurely gatherings typical of Italian family life.

Upon arrival, diners are greeted with a choice of a glass of prosecco or freshly brewed Italian coffee, before being invited to explore seven food stations. The buffet features a variety of dishes including bakery items, cheeses, cured meats, an egg station and a range of hot dishes such as mini lasagna, Melanzane alla Parmigiana, arancini and mini pizzas. Additional options include salads, tiramisu and Italian biscuits.

According to Eataly, the brunch is “a celebration of Italy’s most loved, soul-satisfying dishes, served with generous variety and unmistakable authenticity”. The menu is crafted with seasonal, regional ingredients, bringing what the organisers describe as “the warmth of an Italian kitchen to guests who are gathering with family or catching up with friends”.

Pasta e Pizza’s Cucina del Mercato is known for its open-plan kitchen and focus on Italian culinary traditions. The organisers emphasise the use of regional Italian ingredients and aim to create an environment that encourages guests to “slow down and savour a Sunday”.
