Sushisamba celebrates International Sushi Day with sushi week 17-22 June

International restaurant group Sushisamba, which offers a fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisines, is launching “sushi week” to celebrate International Sushi Day. The initiative will run from 17th to 22nd June across nine Sushisamba locations in the UK, USA, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The event aims to bring together signature sushi rolls from each region, offering diners an opportunity to sample creations typically exclusive to individual cities, including their signature Samba Rolls.

The sushi week menu will feature what the brand describes as its “most iconic creations”, with a particular highlight being The World Tour – a 12-piece chef’s assortment that showcases ingredients and techniques from locations such as Singapore, London and Las Vegas. According to the organisers, the week-long event is intended as a tribute to “creativity, craftsmanship and connection”, with the underlying message that “great sushi transcends borders”.

Sushisamba’s sushi week coincides with International Sushi Day (on 18th June), marking the growing popularity of sushi and an increasing appetite for culinary experiences that blend traditions from different cultures. A spokesperson for the restaurant said: “Sushi week unites the brand’s most iconic creations from the UK, USA, Middle East and Southeast Asia into one unforgettable menu.” The event is also billed as an opportunity for chefs to demonstrate their skills using “the highest quality ingredients, refined techniques and bold flavours”.
