From 17th to 20th June 2025, Turin will serve as the backdrop for a collaborative lunch event between two notable Italian food initiatives, Tortellante and MagazziniOz. The event, which takes places at MagazziniOz, coincides with the internationally acclaimed 50 Best, an annual gathering that celebrates culinary achievement and innovation. The collaboration aims to highlight both regional pasta traditions and the social impact programmes underpinning each organisation.

During the four-day period, guests at MagazziniOz will be able to sample a special lunch menu featuring two signature pasta dishes: plin with roasted meat jus, a Piedmontese speciality from MagazziniOz, and tortellini with parmesan cream, crafted by Modena-based project Tortellante. The menu will be available from noon till 3pm each day and will come with a glass of wine, water, artisan bread and coffee.

The initiative is rooted in the shared commitment of both organisations to culinary excellence and social responsibility. MagazziniOz operates as part of FondazioneOz, whose philosophy – “Everyday life that Cares” – is expressed through professional training and job placement programmes for migrants, young people with disabilities and disadvantaged individuals. Tortellante, meanwhile, is described as “a therapeutic project where young adults on the autism spectrum produce handmade tortellini as a testimony of freedom, transformation and ability”. Each aims to use food as a vehicle for empowerment.

Lunch reservations are expected to be in high demand, given the limited four-day window and the prominence of both organisations. The event underscores a growing trend in the culinary world towards initiatives that combine gastronomy with positive social impact. Organisers say the collaboration is an opportunity to “create and spread beauty through good food and innovative actions that generate social impact”. The 50 Best event, which will be held in Turin during the same week, is expected to draw international chefs, industry professionals and food enthusiasts. The partnership between Tortellante and MagazziniOz offers attendees a chance to experience regional Italian cuisine while supporting projects with a focus on social inclusion.
