Renais Gin and Quaglino’s launch new cocktail menu and pop-up for Cocktails in the City festival

Renais Gin, a British gin brand founded by siblings Emma and Alex Watson, has partnered with London bar and restaurant Quaglino’s to introduce a new cocktail menu available throughout July. The collaboration coincides with the Cocktails in the City festival, taking place from 10th to 12th July this year, where the two brands will jointly operate a pop-up bar to showcase four newly developed cocktails using Renais gin.

The partnership brings together Renais Gin’s spirit, sustainably produced using wine-pressed grapes, and Quaglino’s focus on high-end mixology and live music. The four cocktails – Bijou N.16, Deco Revival, Golden Bloom and Finesse – will be available on Quaglino’s drinks menu until 31st July. Visitors to the Cocktails in the City festival will have the opportunity to sample the new drinks at the Renais x Quaglino’s pop-up bar, and they’ll receive a transferable voucher redeemable at the bar’s permanent venue during the promotional period.

The launch of the Watsons’ gin was inspired by their family’s vineyard, Domaine Watson, located in northern France. The spirit is infused with botanicals such as linden flowers, cubeb berries and acacia honey, and is produced with a focus on sustainability through the use of upcycled ingredients.

The cocktail offerings developed by the collaborators each highlight different flavour profiles. The Bijou N.16, billed as “sharp / citrus / complex”, combines Renais gin with Quaglino’s white vermouth, camomile liqueur and a saline solution. Deco Revival features fennel liqueur, yuzu liqueur, rhubarb and vanilla cordial and egg white, and is described as “sour”, “zesty” and “herbal”. The Golden Bloom – “refreshing / sweet / sparkling” – includes homemade white wine syrup, elderflower cordial, soda water and bitters. Lastly, Finesse incorporates clarified basil and cucumber cordial with a grapefruit, rosemary and lemon soda, resulting in a “floral”, “fizzy”, “aromatic” experience.
