Limin Southbank to host Caribbean-inspired bottomless rum brunch for National Rum Day

LIMIN Southbank will host a rum-themed bottomless brunch on Saturday, 16th August, in celebration of National Rum Day. The initiative will take place on the venue’s beach at Gabriel’s Wharf, located in London’s South Bank, and will feature Caribbean-inspired food and cocktails. Guests can expect a 90-minute session of unlimited rum cocktails served by the jug, alongside a two-course meal.

LIMIN Southbank has built a reputation for serving Trinidadian street food and Caribbean dishes in a casual, open-air ambience.

The brunch menu includes a Caribbean Hummus with Fried Tortilla and Crispy Chickpeas, followed by a choice of mains, such as Spicy BBQ Chicken, Mammie’s Vegetable Curry, or Masala-Spiced Fish, all served with rice. LIMIN’s signature Rum-glazed Chicken Wings will also be available. Drinks on offer include the venue’s Rum Punch, Beach Berry Mojito and Island Mojito, served to the soundtrack of Soca, Reggae and Afrobeat.

The event comes shortly after LIMIN Southbank was named the UK’s Best Caribbean Restaurant 2024 by the Caribbean Food Awards. The restaurant brings island vibes to the city thanks not only to the cuisine style but also to the beach-inspired setting, which has become a popular destination during the summer months. It is also one of the few Caribbean restaurants located in central London and is independently owned and LGBTQ+ run.

National Rum Day is observed annually on August 16th and celebrates the popular spirit made from sugarcane by-products, such as molasses or sugarcane juice. The day is marked by events and promotions in bars and restaurants across the UK and internationally.

Tickets are priced at £55, and the event will run across two sittings: 12:00 pm–2:00 pm and 2:30 pm–4:00 pm. Seats are limited to the venue’s capacity, so early bookings are highly recommended.
