Ladurée celebrates 20 years in the UK with redesigned Burlington Arcade boutique

Ladurée has unveiled a redesigned boutique in London’s Burlington Arcade to commemorate its 20th anniversary in the UK. The revamped store, located in the historic Mayfair shopping arcade, has been relaunched as a world-exclusive concept for the brand. The redesign reflects a shift towards a more contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the patisserie’s Parisian heritage.

The Burlington Arcade location, which was inaugurated in 2007, has undergone a complete transformation in collaboration with design firm Studio Ravn. The original opulent gold interior has been replaced with a more subdued palette featuring polished brass, bespoke carpentry, and hand-crafted shelving. The exterior has also been updated in Ladurée’s signature pastel green, framing window displays that overlook Piccadilly.

Mélanie Carron, Group CEO of Maison Ladurée, said: “Burlington Arcade and Ladurée were both born in the 19th century — two institutions shaped by the same historical spirit of elegance, refinement and urban sophistication. In renovating the space, we made a conscious choice to preserve that golden ambience while introducing subtle modern touches. The result is a boutique that feels both timeless and relevant.”

Carron added: “Celebrating 20 years in the UK is a significant milestone for Ladurée. Our boutique at Harrods, opened in 2005, was our very first international location. It marked the beginning of a new era for the Maison and a turning point in our global expansion. The renovation of our boutique in Burlington Arcade today is both a tribute to that journey and a reaffirmation of our long-term commitment to the London market.”

The updated boutique also introduces new menu items, including a Burlington Arcade-exclusive matcha range. The line features Matcha Macarons and lattes made with organic matcha from Uji, Japan. A Cream Tea experience is also available, priced at £19.95 or £24.95 with champagne.

The boutique will also offer personalised gift options, limited-edition packaging, and a picnic box exclusive to the Burlington Arcade location. Ladurée currently operates 12 sites across the UK, including outlets in Harrods, Selfridges, and major transport hubs such as Heathrow and St Pancras.

Burlington Arcade opened in 1819, housing a range of high-end boutiques offering jewellery, fashion, and fine food, and to date it continues to attract over four million visitors annually.
