L’Eto Caffe launches Labubu-inspired cake as edible art trend grows in the UK

L’Eto Caffe has launched a limited-edition dessert, the Le BuBu Dollie Monsters Cake, available by pre-order across its UK locations from summer 2025. The new bake, inspired by the popular Labubu character from designer toy brand Pop Mart, is part of the café’s latest effort to tap into the growing global trend of edible art and toy culture. Handmade in London, the cake is available to order for £195 via the brand’s website.
The Le BuBu Dollie Monsters Cake features L’Eto’s signature sponge and buttercream layers, decorated with piped “fur”, fondant eyes and the character’s distinctive bunny ears. It comes in three colour options – bubblegum pink, mint green and electric teal – and can be customised with a choice of six flavours – Chocolate & Raspberry, Chocolate & Salted Caramel, Rose & Lychee, Coconut & Mango, Elderflower & Blueberry and Strawberries & Vanilla – with further bespoke options available upon request.
L’Eto was founded in London in 2011 and currently operates nine branches across the capital, including locations in Covent Garden, Soho, Notting Hill and Belgravia. Elsewhere, the brand has also expanded, with 27 international branches across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan and Qatar. Its focus on high-quality ingredients and detailed presentation is maintained for this novelty design, which, according to the company, is intended to serve as a centrepiece for birthdays, themed events or other celebrations. Though designed with a playful aesthetic, the new offering is part of a broader food trend that merges high-end patisserie with pop culture references.
As the popularity of character-themed desserts continues to rise, L’Eto’s latest creation appears positioned to appeal to both collectors and food enthusiasts alike. They say it is already gaining traction on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
