Kokum partners with Hop Burns & Black for first natural wine supper club in East Dulwich

Dulwich’s South Indian restaurant, Kokum will host its first ever natural wine supper club in partnership with bottle shop and bar Hop Burns & Black on Tuesday 17th September, aiming to highlight the diversity of south-east London’s food and drink scene. The evening will begin at 7pm at the restaurant, and will feature a four-course Indian meal comprising 12 dishes, each paired with natural wines selected by the wine experts. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles of their favourite wines at the end of the evening.

The event is designed to appeal to both food and wine enthusiasts, particularly those with an interest in natural wines – a category of wine produced with minimal intervention and often without added sulphites. Among the dishes to be served are Samosa Chaat, Chicken Chop and Sikandari Raan – a slow-roasted, spiced leg of lamb served with Kashmiri pulao and topped with a Nihari sauce described as “robust and silky”. The full menu has not yet been disclosed, and the specific wines to be presented will also be revealed on the night. Each course will be accompanied by a guided explanation of the dish and its wine pairing, providing attendees with insight into the culinary and oenological choices behind the menu.

Tickets for the supper club are priced at £75 per person and are available to book now.
