Liu Xiaomian celebrates Noodle Day and Mid-Autumn Festival with two-for-one noodle bowls

Liu Xiaomian, a noodle bar based in London’s Kingly Court, is marking Noodle Day (on the 6th of October) and the Mid-Autumn Festival with a month-long promotion of two-for-one noodle bowls. The offer will be available during dinner service from 5:30 pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays throughout the month of October at the Carnaby location.
Diners can choose from two of Liu Xiaomian’s signature dishes: the Chongqing Xiaomian, made with wheat noodles, and the Hot & Sour Glass Noodles, both of which are available with either vegan or minced pork toppings.
Founded in 2018 by friends and former flatmates Charlene Liu and Linda Liu, Liu Xiaomian began as a street food stall. The pair, originally from Chongqing—a city in southwest China whose cuisine is characterised by its spicy notes —aimed to introduce Londoners to the bold, numbing flavours of their hometown. Their first permanent site opened in Carnaby – on the first floor of Kingly Court – in February 2024, following a pop-up residency at The Jackalope pub in Marylebone, which continues to operate.
The promotion aims to celebrate the cultural significance of the events and to thank customers for their support since the restaurant’s recent opening.
Reflecting on their progress, Charlene Liu said, “As relative newcomers with our first permanent site opening only last year in Carnaby, it’s been thrilling to be embraced so warmly by both critics and guests. Hearing diners call us their favourite noodle spot in London gives us the confidence to keep cooking the food we love.”
Linda Liu added, “We want to offer London something special this October. Our spicy homemade chilli oil is the heartbeat of our bowls; fiery, fragrant, and truly addictive. The 2-for-1 noodle nights are our way of saying thank you and giving everyone a reason to slurp with a smile.”
