108 Brasserie launches monthly jazz brunch series spotlighting emerging female musicians

108 Brasserie in Marylebone will launch a new series of live jazz performances this month, as part of its ongoing monthly Jazz Brunch. The new line-up will run until the end of 2025 and will feature emerging local female musicians, beginning with 21-year-old singer-songwriter Bouj from Hertfordshire on 27th September.

The Jazz Brunch takes place on the last Saturday of each month, from 12.30 to 4pm, offering a seasonal menu, a complimentary glass of Charles Heidsieck Champagne and live music throughout the afternoon at £85 a head. The September edition will also be filmed, and guests attending this particular event will receive 25% off their bill as a gesture of appreciation.

Bouj’s opening performance will mark the beginning of the venue’s new focus on supporting women in jazz, with future appearances scheduled to include London-based artist Cosima Hero in October. Performers for the November and December events have yet to be announced.

The food offering at the Jazz Brunch includes a buffet of antipasti such as 108 Sausage Rolls with mustard and burnt apple sauce, Salmon Rillettes, and Prawn Crevettes, and there’s a live Carlingford oyster shucking station also available. Main course options feature seasonal dishes, such as Scottish Salmon with brown butter and capers, Rigatoni Pasta Alla Norma with burrata and 6oz Onglet Steak served with chimichurri and chunky chips. Desserts are served buffet-style and include Chocolate Guinness Cake, Tiramisu and Apple Crumble with homemade custard. A selection of nostalgic sweets will also be available.

The venue say the new series aims to “champion local, up-and-coming female artists” and provide guests with a “smooth jazz soundtrack” to complement a relaxed meal.
