The Coral Room at The Bloomsbury Hotel has unveiled a 12-foot Christmas tree adorned with ornaments from the Elton John x Waterford range, as part of a seasonal collaboration between The Doyle Collection hotels and luxury crystal brand Waterford. The festive installation is one of two such displays across the group’s London properties, with a similar showcase at The Kensington Hotel. The partnership aims to celebrate Irish heritage, craftsmanship and design during the holidays.

The Christmas tree features hundreds of crystal ornaments inspired by key moments in Elton John’s career, including references to his Rocket Man persona and the disco era. The decorations form part of Waterford’s new Elton John collection, which includes the Elton John AIDS Foundation Red Heart. According to the company, 10% of sales from this particular piece will be donated to the Foundation between May 2025 and May 2026.

Located near the Dominion Theatre, which is currently hosting the musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John, The Coral Room has also introduced a themed cocktail menu. The drinks, served in Waterford crystal glassware, include creations such as the Waterford Sparkle, made with Código 1530 Rosa Tequila and Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV, and the Emerald Fizz, a non-alcoholic option featuring Darjeeling Sparkling Tea, pomegranate and mandarin foam.

At The Kensington further west, guests will encounter a Frosted Winter Wonderland installation centred around a Christmas tree decorated with special crystal baubles, including snowflakes and icicles. The property’s interiors have been dressed with seasonal wreaths, garlands and a nutcracker display, all incorporating Waterford crystal elements. Visitors can enjoy a bespoke Irish Coffee in a Lismore glass (inspired by Lismore Castle in County Waterford) or a Chocolatini cocktail, prepared tableside and served in a Lismore Red Martini glass.

The collaboration between The Doyle Collection and Waterford brings together two Irish-founded brands with a shared focus on tradition and artistry. The installations will remain on display throughout the festive season.
