Orient Express has announced a partnership with French luxury beauty house Guerlain to introduce a spa experience aboard its new fleet of yachts, set to launch in June 2026. The first of these vessels, the Orient Express Corinthian, will debut in the Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean later that year. The collaboration marks a new venture for both brands, combining hospitality and wellness at sea.

The Corinthian is described as the largest sailing yacht in the world and represents a shift from the company’s traditional top-end rail travel to maritime experiences. The Guerlain Spa onboard will offer a range of treatments developed exclusively for the yacht, designed to align with the rhythm of the sea and the natural environment.

Founded in 1828, the beauty brand specialises in high-end perfumes and skincare products, and has positioned this partnership as an opportunity to expand its wellness offerings into the travel sector. “We are proud to unveil our partnership with Orient Express Sailing Yachts, a collaboration that redefines the art of luxury wellness,” said Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO at Guerlain. “Together, we will craft spa experiences that transcend beauty – immersing guests in rituals that nourish both body and soul.”

“This alliance unites two French icons of elegance and savoir-faire. With Guerlain, we reimagine the art of travel and wellness, creating a sanctuary where beauty, refinement and destination discoveries converge,” said Philippe Hetland-Brault, president of Orient Express Sailing Yachts. “Our guests will experience journeys that are as enriching for the soul as they are unforgettable.”

The Corinthian, a collaboration between hospitality group Accor and shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique, will feature interiors designed to reflect a blend of traditional elegance and modern innovation. The vessel will be powered by SolidSail technology – three rigid sails mounted on 100-metre-high tilting masts – allowing for up to 100% wind propulsion under favourable conditions. It is expected to offer a high-end travel experience that integrates luxury accommodation, wellness and exploration, continuing the brand’s legacy of curated journeys.
