Ashcombe x Carousel returns for 2026 with exclusive fire-led dining and star chef line-up
London-based restaurant collective Carousel has confirmed it will return to filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s Ashcombe Estate this summer for the third consecutive year, hosting a series of fire-led tasting menu dinners for small groups of guests across 22 weekends between May and September.
The Ashcombe Estate x Carousel series will again take place at Ritchie’s WildKitchen, a custom-built, canvas-sided outdoor kitchen beside a lake on the 1,100-acre estate in Cranbourne Chase (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire). Each weekend will accommodate just 20 guests, who will be seated at an interactive chef’s table for a one-night-only tasting menu cooked entirely over fire by a rotating roster of guest chefs.
The WildKitchen, which featured in the Netflix series The Gentlemen, was developed by Ritchie himself and uses lumpwood charcoal produced on the estate from locally sourced, sustainably coppiced or naturally fallen trees. The setup is designed to offer the temperature control and precision more commonly associated with gas or electric cooking.
This year’s confirmed line-up includes a run of leading chefs from across the UK and abroad, including:
2nd May – Rob Roy Cameron (formerly ALTA, London and El Bulli, Spain)
9th May – Luke Selby (Palé Hall, Gwynedd)
16th May – Pablo Díaz (Mercado 24, Guatemala City – returning for the second time)
23rd May – Tomás Gormley (Cardinal)
6th June – Alex Bond (Alchemilla, Nottingham)
13th June – Joe Otway (Higher Ground, Manchester)
27th June – Chantelle Nicholson (Apricity, London) and Sabrina Gidda
11th July – Jake Finn (Cinder, North London)
18th July – Chris Golding (Nijū, Mayfair)
25th July – Alex Claridge (The Wilderness, Birmingham)\
Further names will be announced for the remaining dates in the coming weeks.
Carousel, which operates out of three Georgian townhouses on Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, was founded by brothers Ed and Ollie Templeton and has built a reputation for its guest chef residency model. The Ashcombe collaboration represents one of its most prominent recurring partnerships outside of its London base.
Alongside the Saturday evening WildKitchen dinner, guests are booked in for a two-night stay that includes access to the estate’s spa facilities – among them a wood-fired sauna and hot tub – as well as yoga classes and wild swimming. The Carousel team will manage food and drink across the weekend, including a Friday evening menu served in the Old Brewery featuring wood-fired dishes such as Half Chicken, Wild Garlic Salsa Verde, Aioli and Lemon Sole, Cockles, Wild Garlic Capers, Lemon, Chilli.
Two new guest rooms have been added to the existing accommodation, which comprises eight farmhouse doubles and two hayloft suites. The interiors were designed by Edward Hurst, who has described the aesthetic as “American inn meets English pub”.
En-suite double rooms are available from £375 per night, based on a minimum two-night stay, with breakfast included. The WildKitchen dinner is priced at £175 per person, excluding drinks and service.
