Free pint of Guinness offered to London Marathon finishers at Covent Garden brewery
London Marathon finishers will be able to claim a free pint of Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Covent Garden, where the team are offering complimentary drinks to medal holders across three days following the race.
The promotion begins on Sunday 27th April – the day of the London Marathon – and runs until Tuesday 29th, giving runners who prefer to head home after crossing the finish line the opportunity to redeem the offer at a later date – and a visit to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery offers a unique experience. It is one of only a small number of brewery experiences by the brand outside of Ireland, making it a notable destination for runners looking to mark their success.
The timing of the promotion aligns with what is traditionally one of the busiest weekends in the London running calendar. The London Marathon regularly attracts tens of thousands of participants from across the UK and internationally, with many finishers and their supporters gathering in central London in the hours following the race.
To claim the free drink, finishers must present their 2026 London Marathon medal alongside valid photo ID confirming they are 18 or over. Each participant is entitled to one free pint, with the choice of a standard Guinness, Guinness 0.0 or one of the brewery’s own craft beers. The promotion is non-transferrable and is available only at Old Brewer’s Yard, exclusively to London Marathon participants, with no cash alternative offered.
