Tom Aikens to reunite with Brazilian chef Alberto Landgraf for one-night dinner at Muse

Michelin-starred British chef Tom Aikens will host Brazilian industry colleague Alberto Landgraf at his London restaurant Muse next Wednesday for a one-night four-hands dinner. The event will mark the launch of Landgraf’s new book, Oteque, which documents his food philosophy, recipes and the work of his Rio restaurant. The upcoming collaboration represents a professional reunion for the pair, who will cook in tandem for the first time in more than two decades, having previously worked together in 2003.

Landgraf began his career working under Aikens at the original Tom Aikens restaurant in London, before returning to Brazil and taking his place as one of South America’s most prominent culinary experts. He is now chef-owner of Oteque in Rio de Janeiro – a venue that has received international recognition for its focus on local ingredients, seasonality and flavour. The restaurant has been listed among the leading dining establishments in South America and has attracted a strong following both domestically and internationally for its refined approach to contemporary Brazilian cuisine.

Muse, in Belgravia, is Aikens’s personal restaurant project, housed in a converted Victorian mews building. The culinarian, who first earned a Michelin star at the age of 26, has remained one of the more recognisable figures in the British restaurant industry over the past two decades, with a career spanning multiple openings in London and abroad.

For the evening at Muse, the two chefs will prepare a bespoke menu combining their respective styles. Guests will have the opportunity to see them both cooking in the same kitchen – a rare occurrence given Landgraf’s usual base in Rio – and each diner will receive a copy of Oteque as part of their ticket.
