Pizza Hut clears up kid confusion with free goat sanctuary tickets and summer meal deal

Pizza Hut has launched a new summer promotion that not only lets Kids Eat Free but also hooks up families with complimentary tickets to goat sanctuaries and petting zoos – so kid diners get to meet a different kind of kid. Running from 27th July to 2nd September across all 57 of the chain’s locations in the UK, the campaign is aimed at families looking for low-cost activities during the school holidays.

Under the offer, children aged 12 and under can eat free, all day, every day, with every £9.99 spent on food from the à la carte menu. Before 3pm, the deal covers one free Kid’s Buffet and after 3pm, it covers one free Kid’s Meal. To cash in, customers must use the code “KEF” when ordering, or “KEF2” to upgrade the Kid’s Buffet, which adds in a soft drink and access to the ice cream factory for an additional £2. Only one code can be used per transaction, and the offer applies to dine-in orders only.

Families benefiting from the Kids Eat Free offer will receive up to four free tickets to participating goat sanctuaries or petting zoos, allocated on a first come, first served basis. The limited tickets are valid for one visit until 3rd September and allow children to meet, pet and feed baby goats at participating venues including Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats in Kent, Blandford Animal Sanctuary in Dorset, Mayfields Animal Sanctuary in Sheffield, Cherry Tree Farm in Norfolk and Waulkmill Menagerie in Aberdeenshire.

Katie Adam, senior manager at Pizza Hut UK, said: “When we’ve said ‘Kids Eat Free’ over the years, we’ve always meant children… but we can see why Britain’s baby goats might have thought they had a case. We’d hate for any kid to feel left out, so this summer we’re giving families the chance to enjoy a free meal at Pizza Hut restaurants before heading off to meet some of Britain’s cutest kids at goat sanctuaries across the UK. We’d also like to take this opportunity to apologise to the nation’s baby goats for any confusion caused.”
