New York’s Sip & Guzzle to take over Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London for one night only

New York cocktail bar Sip & Guzzle will take over Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London on Wednesday 26th August, serving drinks from 6pm to 8pm in a one-night collaboration between two bars that both feature on The World’s 50 Best Bars list. The event, held in partnership with Altamura Distilleries, will run across two spaces within the hotel, replicating the dual-concept format that Sip & Guzzle operates in Manhattan.

Scarfes Bar currently sits at No.31 in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 and No.47 in Europe’s 50 Best Bars 2026. Sip & Guzzle is ranked No.39 in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 and holds the top position in North America’s 50 Best Bars, making it the highest-ranked bar on that continent.

The Sip & Guzzle model divides the venue in two: Guzzle, the more informal ground-floor bar, and Sip, a smaller, speakeasy-style room downstairs where drinks are served in a more considered setting. The London takeover follows the same structure. In Scarfes Bar itself, four cocktails from the Guzzle menu will be available. These are the Saketini, made with banana-infused Altamura Vodka, saké, fino sherry, sherry vinegar and a Castelvetrano olive; the Sun-Dried Gimlet, combining sun-dried tomato-infused Altamura Vodka, makrut lime and green Sichuan peppercorn oil; the Coffee Vesper, which pairs Altamura Vodka with kome shochu, Cocchi Americano and coffee; and the Champagne Grasshopper, a mix of Altamura Vodka, cacao, menthe, lemon and Champagne.

Separately, an undisclosed location elsewhere in Rosewood London will be converted into a bookable tasting space intended to recreate the Sip room. Guests there will be served a sequence of cocktails accompanied by explanations of the ingredients and techniques behind them. Drinks on that list include the Dirty Mango, made with Altamura Vodka, mango and olive; the Thaiparoska, which combines Altamura Vodka, mango, Thai chilli and Thai salad; and Dr Green, a blend of Altamura Vodka, tomatillo, green apple, shiso and horseradish.

The Altamura Distilleries Martini – Altamura Vodka, dry vermouth and orange bitters – will be served in both spaces, reflecting the vodka producer’s role as partner on the event. Places in the Sip tasting space are limited and must be reserved in advance through the booking platform SevenRooms, while drinks in Scarfes Bar are available to guests during the two-hour window.
