Seven Dials Market rolls out dice game to celebrate seventh birthday
Seven Dials Market is marking its seventh birthday this month with a week-long giveaway running from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th September, marking seven years since the street food destination opened its doors. The promotion offers customers buying a drink at the Warehouse Bar (on the lower ground floor of the market) the chance to roll two dice and wish the team a happy birthday – and those who roll a combined total of seven win a pair of Kerb-branded socks. A limited number of pairs will be available, meaning the prize will go to the first players to win each day, rather than being guaranteed to all seven-rollers.
Run by Kerb, the popular food hall opened in 2019 in a converted banana warehouse on Earlham Street, occupying a Grade II-listed building near the Seven Dials junction. It spans two floors and houses a rotating line-up of independent traders, many of whom have progressed through Kerb’s street food markets and incubator programmes before taking a permanent unit. Some of the food options currently on sale include pizza by the slice from Bad Boy Pizza Society, HOKO’s wonton soup, and spicy fried chicken at Lucky’s. Soft-serve bar Whippies has also recently been welcomed into the line-up.
Kerb began as a street food trading collective and has since expanded into permanent hospitality, catering and trader development. Seven Dials Market is one of its buzziest locations, drawing tourists, locals and workers from the area. Covent Garden has really bounced back following the disruption during the pandemic, with food halls emerging as a popular format that offers a range of options for diners as well as allowing smaller businesses to share high rents.
The anniversary dice game is limited to the seven-day window. No formal registration, booking or entry fee is needed beyond the purchase of a drink at Warehouse Bar. Full terms, including the number of prizes released each day, are determined by the venue.
