Covent Garden restaurant Sycamore launches bottomless pasta brunch for £45

Sycamore, the Italian restaurant at the Middle Eight hotel in Covent Garden, will be serving a bottomless pasta brunch every Saturday from 19th September, replacing the conventional brunch format with unlimited tasting portions of freshly made pasta.

While live music plays throughout the afternoon, the meal opens with an Italian charcuterie board to share, with cured meats, cheese and focaccia. Diners then choose from a menu of seven fresh pastas, served in tasting portions with no limit to the number of servings. Plates on the list include Slow-Cooked Beef and Caramelised Onion Pappardelle, Veal Ragù Tagliatelle, Prawns and Courgette Spaghetti, Cacio e Pepe and Black Truffle and Ricotta Ravioli. A green salad and tiramisu are included in the price, with vegan and vegetarian options also available. While drinks are charged separately, at an additional cost guests can add bottomless prosecco, Aperol Spritz or a non-alcoholic spritz to their meal for a full two hours.

Sycamore’s menu draws on the Southern Italian background of its head chef. The restaurant sits inside Middle Eight, a hotel on Great Queen Street in the heart of Covent Garden that’s a short walk from the Royal Opera House and the famous piazza. Its location in the West End theatre district makes the Saturday afternoon brunch perfect ahead of taking in an evening performance nearby, with time for a revitalising walk in between. The offer runs until the end of October and is priced at £45 per person (not including drinks), with sittings from midday till 3pm.
