Meet Velvet Eccentric, the audacious and talented designer. Della Reed is behind the exclusive Velvet Eccentric handmade statement collars. As we all know, collars have been in for quite a while now, whether it’s a studded collar or a pretty lace one to go with that dress you just bought from your favourite shop. However, Velvet Eccentric has taken it to a whole new level with the new concept: Art décolletage. A collection of statement collars that “can be worn about town, at home, on the red carpet or on stage.”

Most of these collars are not the characteristic size you imagine, but actually relatively larger. Don’t let this put you off, as this is part of the reason they are so unique. Each collar is magically handsewn, making them one of a kind, some consisting of pieces of soft armour that creates an especially romantic yet rebellious appearance. This is one of our favourites, the gold soft armour style collar, which complements the most minimalistic of outfits to the most outrageous. It creates a heroine military-type image whilst still managing to appear feminine.

If this is not your thing, there are plenty more to choose from. There is the collar named Island Queen; soft armour with beads sewn in around the neck area to add a touch of elegance to any outfit you choose, the feathers around the photo frame in the centre finish off this piece to be the most distinctive collar you will come across.

To go for a completely outrageous look you should choose this courageous collar, with brown soft armour cuttings that appear as though they have strange faces carved into them. Again, the signature oval photo frame sits in the centre of the piece to complete that rebellious image.

To be rebellious, check out more of these collars as well as other delights Velvet Eccentric have to offer by visiting here.
