POP PR Press Day to showcase designers’ SS13 collections
The Upcoming was kindly invited to the POP PR Press Day for SS13, and the POP PR team was as helpful as ever as they showed us around. We passed through corridors filled with cobwebs to celebrate the weekend of Halloween, before coming to Pam Hogg’s designs.
Wow, her signature piece – the black textured gown that some people describe as beetle-like – took centre stage. With heavy facial armour, it engrossed press and left them paying little attention to much else.
We then moved on to other designers including Francesca Marotta who we simply adore, as well as Nova Chiu who has a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles, and Bernard Chandran, the prestigious Malaysian fashion designer.
The showroom was full to the brim with diversity and talent, and everybody leaving would have taken some inspiration with them.
