Want to see a difference in the world of fashion? Want to see a range of faces, shapes and sizes on the runway? Want to feel accepted in the glamorous world of modelling? If so, head over to Catwalk4Change on 6th September 2013. This rare and glitzy event, which is organised by Angel Sinclair, will show the modelling industry how to make the nation’s women and men feel accepted and appreciated.

The founder of Models of Diversity, Angel Sinclair, aims to change the way the modelling industry works. From looking at magazines and watching catwalk shows, it is evident that to be a model, people have to be of a certain height, age, body and skin type. Angel is on a mission to challenge this notion, and to change the current face of fashion, as she launches many inspiring shows.

Catwalk4Change, which is held at East London’s stylish The Water Lily, promises a fun and exciting evening. Thought-provoking and full of fashion, this event will break the boundaries of norms and customs, as it welcomes and celebrates a diverse range of models, attributes and assets. The event will also demand the fashion industry to recognise the beauty of all women, and it will attempt to show that diversity is needed in all aspects of modelling.

The inspiring show is held in two parts. The first part of the show will focus on mature models, as the use of older models is extremely rare in the industry, especially on catwalks and fashion shows. By using the style of 50s fashions, the show will highlight the need to appreciate and express the beauty and experience of mature models, and it will break the notion that age is limited in the industry.

The second part of the show will express the need to have a racial diversion of models on the runway. Pret-o-Blogger Edita Lozovska has collaborated with this show to highlight this need, as she encourages well-known bloggers from all different backgrounds and cultures to join the catwalk on the evening.

All the standard requirements needed to join the modelling industry will be overthrown, as passion, dedication and enthusiasm are heavily celebrated. Feeling out of place in a catwalk show will not occur, as Angel Sinclair has ensured that everyone will feel appreciated, and more importantly, at home.

Fashion representatives, models and VIPs will be attending the show, and all donations will be given to MIND and MacMillan. The project has also received support from big names in the industry. Presented by Charlotte Avery, the show is set to be an evening of glamour, real beauty and hope.
