The forthcoming bold reimagining of 80s cult classic Road House is set to open the SXSW 2024 Film & TV Festival ahead of making make its global streaming debut on Prime Video on 21st March. Directed by Doug Liman and featuring a star-studded cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior and Conor McGregor, the revitalised thriller, penned by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry, follows ex-UFC fighter Dalton, portrayed by Gyllenhaal, as he uncovers the dark underbelly of a seemingly idyllic Florida Keys roadhouse where he works as a bouncer. Alongside the leading trio, the cast features Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, and a host of other talents.

The official trailer for Road House has been released, giving a taste of the action-packed narrative that promises to capture the spirit of its predecessor while offering a fresh take for a new generation. Fans and critics are eager to see how this modern version will pay homage to the original screenplay by David Lee Henry and Hilary Henkin.
