Netflix renews The Gentlemen for a second season with Guy Ritchie returning as director

Netflix has confirmed the renewal of its series The Gentlemen for a second season, which will consist of eight episodes. The announcement was made recently, detailing that filming is set to begin next year. The series, created by Guy Ritchie, who will also return as director, features a script co-written by Ritchie and Matthew Read.

The Gentlemen, produced by Moonage Pictures and Miramax Television for Netflix, will see the return of main cast members Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings. Additional casting updates for the new season are expected to be announced at a later date.

The first season of The Gentlemen introduced viewers to Eddie Horniman, played by James, who inherits his father’s vast country estate only to find out it fronts a lucrative cannabis operation entangled with Britain’s criminal underworld. The narrative follows Eddie’s complex experiences as he becomes more involved in criminal activities, supported by Scodelario’s character, Susie Glass.
