Lita to host collaboration dinner with Milan’s chef Diego Rossi

On 20th November, Marylebone bistro Lita will host a special one-night collaboration dinner between chefs Luke Ahearne of Lita and Diego Rossi of Trippa, Milan, blending traditional Italian with modern European culinary styles.

The four hands aims to merge the distinct culinary philosophies of the chefs involved and present an innovative set of dishes that highlights seasonal ingredients. The dinner will include a fixed menu divided into three sections: raw, pasta, and meat, each presenting signatures from both restaurants as well as newly created recipes specifically for the event.

Ahearne, who opened Lita earlier this year, has quickly made a name for the establishment as a destination for those seeking bold, seasonal flavours of southern Europe. Ahearne, originally from Clonmel Co Tipperary, Ireland, is a self-taught chef whose passion for food burgeoned while working in his father’s café and later in high-calibre kitchens like Garrett Byrne’s Michelin-starred Campagne in Kilkenny.

On the other hand, Diego Rossi, hailing from Veneto, Italy, is the culinary mastermind behind Trippa, an acclaimed trattoria in Milan known for its traditional Italian dishes and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of old-school trattorias. Rossi, who has previously earned a Michelin star, is celebrated for his innovative use of offal and his dedication to his homeland’s gastronomic culture.

Ahearne said “We’re excited to collaborate with Rossi from Trippa, as we share a deep commitment to celebrating the essence of culinary craft. Working with chef-driven concepts allows us to push creative boundaries and elevate the dining experience, and this partnership will give us a chance to blend our unique approaches and pay homage to the artistry that unites us in the kitchen.”

The menu for the evening is priced at £145 per person, with an optional wine pairing – comprising bottles from artisanal wines, selected by Lita’s sommelier, Kristina Gladilina, available for an additional £100.
