Roots Dining Experience returns to Tewinbury Farm with farm-to-fork feasts and guest chef events

Farm-to-fork dinner series, Roots Dining Experience, will return to Tewinbury Farm in Hertfordshire this summer, offering a programme of communal dining events that showcase local, seasonal produce. The series, led by Michelin-trained chef Lee Maycock, will run from 4th July to 12th September 2025, with a range of themed evenings and guest chef collaborations taking place on the 700-acre farm, located approximately 30 minutes from London.

The events will be held outdoors, with guests dining at long communal tables situated within the farm’s vegetable patch. The menus – featuring dishes like Half the Garden Hummus with baby carrots, Tewinbury Beef Brisket with warm potato salad and Beetroot Brownies – will be built around ingredients grown just metres from where diners are seated, with additional produce sourced from local suppliers. The series aims to create a relaxed atmosphere, meaningful connections, and beautifully prepared dishes that honour the land they come from.

Among the highlights of the 2025 series are two exclusive chef takeovers. On Saturday, 12th July, Lee Westcott, known for his work at Pensons and Typing Room and his modern approach to British cuisine, will curate a one-night-only menu. On Friday, 12th September, Francesco Mattana will bring a vibrant Italian twist to the table. Other events include a zero-waste dinner on 4th July, a wine pairing evening with Humble Grape on 26th July, and an Italian Spritz-themed night on 30th August.

The Roots Dining Experience is hosted in partnership with Tewin Greens, the farm’s vegetable-growing initiative for the local community. The events are open to the public, with ticket prices ranging from £49 to £98 per person, depending on the evening. Accommodation is available on-site at Tewinbury Farm, a family- and dog-friendly luxury hotel. The property counts on various food and drinks outlets: Granary Kitchen, Cowshed Restaurant and the Stable Bar.
