Kitty Hawk rooftop in Covent Garden announces festive winter dining and New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration

Kitty Hawk Rooftop Restaurant & Bar in Covent Garden will host a New Year’s Eve celebration on 31st December, offering guests views of the mayor’s firework display over the London Eye. The venue, located in the heart of the West End, is also launching a series of festive offerings throughout winter, including themed menus and weekend dining experiences, aimed at attracting diners and revellers during the holiday period.

The bar and restaurant, which overlooks the London skyline, is positioning itself as a seasonal destination for those visiting the capital during December. Among its offerings is a ticketed New Year’s Eve event, priced from £300, which includes Champagne, roaming canapés and access to views of the city’s official fireworks display.

In the lead-up to New Year’s Eve, Kitty Hawk is also serving a special food and drinks menu with a focus on British winter dishes such as Salmon Wellington, Norfolk Turkey and Slow-cooked Ox Cheek. The food offering is accompanied by a special cocktail list featuring sparkling drinks made with St-Germain elderflower liqueur. On Sundays throughout the festive period, there’s a “free-flowing roast dinner”, for which guests can choose from slow-cooked Longhorn beef, Tamworth pork belly or roast chicken, served with traditional accompaniments like duck-fat potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and seasonal vegetables, and washed down with unlimited red wine.

The restaurant’s rooftop location offers a quieter setting above the busy streets of Covent Garden, which is typically crowded with shoppers, theatregoers and tourists at this time of year. With its panoramic views, the space is decorated with Christmas lights and décor, and aims to attract both local Londoners and visitors looking for a central location to celebrate the holidays at “a stylish retreat from the West End’s bustle”.

While the restaurant has not disclosed capacity numbers or booking deadlines, reservations are recommended due to expected high demand during the Christmas and New Year period.
