Ladurée brings Parisian patisserie flair to London’s Broadgate Central with new boutique opening
Ladurée, the celebrated French patisserie specialising in macarons and pastries, has opened today a new boutique in Broadgate Central, London. The launch marks the company’s latest expansion in the UK capital, bringing its signature Parisian café culture to one of London’s busiest business districts. The new location has been designed to cater to professionals and visitors in the area, offering both dine-in and takeaway options.
The Broadgate Central boutique is situated in the heart of the City of London, within the recently developed Broadgate Central complex. This marks the first major retail, dining, and leisure development to open in the district in 15 years. The expansion is part of Ladurée’s ongoing investment in the UK, more than twenty years after it first entered the British market.
Ladurée’s new boutique offers a selection of its signature macarons, pastries, viennoiseries, and confectionery. The drinks menu features specialty coffees, curated teas, matcha, hot chocolate, and signature lattes inspired by Ladurée’s pastries. Each hot drink is served with a miniature macaron. The space is intended as a venue for morning coffee, informal meetings, and gifting, with a particular focus on the needs of the local professional community.
To celebrate the occasion, Ladurée is offering a complimentary hot drink to the first 25 customers each day until the 20th of March, excluding hot chocolate and signature lattes.
The interior design of the boutique combines Parisian elegance with contemporary elements, including Ladurée’s characteristic green colour scheme, soft lighting, bronze finishes, and marble checkerboard flooring. An ornate glass display case showcases the patisserie’s offerings, while striped seating provides a space for guests to enjoy their purchases. Takeaway options are available, with items served in the brand’s distinctive packaging.
The boutique also aims to serve as a destination for both personal and corporate gifting. Customers can select from Ladurée’s macaron boxes and confectionery collections, with complimentary ribbons available for presentation. The location’s proximity to major commuting hubs is expected to appeal to those seeking last-minute gifts.
Founded in Paris in 1862, Ladurée is recognised for inventing the double-shell macaron in 1930. The company has expanded internationally, with locations in cities including London, New York, and Dubai. Ladurée has also diversified its offerings in recent years, introducing vegan treats, chocolates, and even cosmetics. The creation of the Eugénie pastry, named after Empress Eugénie, reflects the brand’s efforts to blend tradition with contemporary tastes.
