Jason Atherton, the chef behind the two-Michelin-starred ROW on 5, will cook alongside Yannick Alléno at Pavyllon London on Monday 26th October for a one-night, six-course dinner that closes the Mayfair restaurant’s 2026 Counter Culture series of chef collaborations. The occasion will take place at Pavyllon London, Alléno’s starred restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

Alléno, who holds 18 Michelin stars across 27 international restaurants and is described as the most Michelin-decorated chef in the world, opened Pavyllon London as his first UK restaurant. It gained its first star in February 2024. Meanwhile, visiting chef Atherton’s ROW on 5 received its second star earlier this year.

The special menu will pair Alléno’s French cooking with Atherton’s British approach to fine dining, with the two serving alternate courses. Both chefs share an interest in Asian flavours and ingredients, which is reflected across the dishes.

Alléno opens with King Crab Leg served with farmhouse cream, Andean sage vinegar and nori broth. Atherton follows with Orkney Scallop with sake beurre blanc, shiso oil and young ginger. Then there’s a Wild Sea Bass Aiguillette by the French chef with mushroom dashi and Oscietra caviar, before the Englishman serves A5 Kagoshima Wagyu Beef with preserved truffle sauce, aged shiitake and bone marrow. Atherton also provides the first dessert, a Japanese Peach Kakigori with Jersey milk and basil. After which, Alléno closes with a reworked Mont Blanc featuring whisky and chestnut ice cream and lemon gel.

Pavyllon London’s open counter runs the length of the restaurant, allowing diners to watch the kitchen at work. Counter seating is limited to 30 places and allocated on a first come, first served basis. The remaining guests will be seated in the main dining room, which happily also has views of the kitchen. The team says all diners will have the chance to meet both of the decorated chefs during the evening.

Tickets cost £195 per person (excluding service), with an optional drinks pairing chosen by the restaurant’s sommelier for an additional £165 per person.
