Tattu London unveils Chinese-inspired cocktail menu with cherry blossom, lychee and wasabi at Outernet rooftop bar

Tattu London, the restaurant and bar on the rooftop of The Now Building at Outernet in the West End, has introduced a new cocktail menu based on the Chinese-inspired theme that runs through the venue and adjoining restaurant. The drinks use ingredients including cherry blossom, sakura, lychee, wasabi and chilli, combined with a range of spirits from vodka and gin to tequila, rum and whisky.

Cocktails on the new list are priced between £17.50 and £19. The selection includes sweet delights such as The Skull Candy, made with Cîroc vodka, Crystal Head Raspberry, cherry and lychee, and a Cherry Blossom Negroni, complementing the classic aperitivo with The Botanist gin and Campari with cherry and sakura – the Japanese name for cherry blossom.

Then there are several drinks that add heat: The Black Dragon Old Fashioned pairs Singleton whisky with Ron Santiago de Cuba 8 Year Old rum, falernum (a spiced Caribbean syrup liqueur) and chilli, and The Crouching Tiger mixes Casamigos Blanco tequila with Kaveri Ginger, wasabi and grapefruit, topped with London Essence soda.

Rum is the base for The Tiger Lilly (£17.50) (Ron Santiago de Cuba Blend with nutmeg, rhubarb and cherry purée, finished with a coconut foam) and The Koko Tattu (Takamaka Coconut rum with lychee and lime).

The cocktails are served in the rooftop bar, which overlooks the vibrant theatre district, and can be ordered alongside the venue’s small plates. Outernet sits at the eastern end of Oxford Street, next to Tottenham Court Road station.
