Original recipe of the week: Overnight Sesame Quinoa

We’re sure you’ve heard of the craze “overnight oats”. We’ve decided to step it up a notch and make the fad even healthier (and yummier!). A dairy-free alternative to almond milk oats, the sesame seeds deliver a crunchy texture that is a little more appetising than the traditional oat stodge. Top with anything you like for a healthy snack or a filling breakfast. Get inventive.

Overnight Sesame Quinoa

Serves: 1
Prep time: 24 hours

What you will need:

1 cup of Quinoa

1 cup of sesame seeds

2 cups of fresh orange juice

Cherries (optional)

Mint (optional)

Walnuts (optional)

Pumpkin seeds (optional)

What you need to do:

This recipe is pretty damn simple. All you need to do is mix together the quinoa and sesame and top up with the orange juice and give it a good mix. Cover and leave over night until 98% of the orange juice has been absorbed. Top this with anything you fancy for a fruity fix.
