081 Pizzeria, voted one of the Top 50 best pizzerias in Europe in 2024, will open its largest branch yet on Great Eastern Street, London, on the 4th April 2025. The new venue marks the second location for the brand, which was originally launched by Naples-born Andrea Asciuti in 2021 as a pop-up in a Peckham car park. The Shoreditch site will continue to offer the brand’s signature Neapolitan pizzas alongside other varied tapas, reflecting the vibrant culture of Naples.

Founded after the success of Asciuti’s first venture, Bravi Ragazzi in Streatham (which opened as a permanent site in 2023), 081 Pizzeria quickly gained popularity for its take on traditional Neapolitan pizzas: their 72-hour fermented dough and high-quality ingredients sourced from Italy for unconventional toppings,

The new 2,000-square-foot Shoreditch location, which previously housed the Iron Bloom events space, will present a modern design with bold street-art inspired by Naples. It will accommodate 60 dine-in covers and have a total capacity of 150 guests, for a dynamic yet relaxed dining atmosphere.

081 Pizzeria’s menu boasts a mix of classic and playful flavour combinations. Highlights include the Tunarella, topped with yellow cherry tomatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, red onions, black olive dust, and tuna fillets; and the Meatballs and Ricotta Stuffed Crust, with a cooked tomato sauce base. The Pulled Genovese features slow-cooked pulled beef brisket and ribs in a Genovese ragu; whereas Napoli Segreta is prepared with smoky provola, black olives, and piennolo tomatoes.

The pizzeria will offer as well Napoli-style tapas, a selection of Italian wines and cocktails, and desserts like the Crocche, Pizza Buns and Pistachio Doughnut.

081’s motto “Pizza is a serious thing” reflects the precision and skill behind every slice, and is backed up by the traditional cooking techniques used, as well as its commitment to authentic and seasonal quality ingredients.

081 Shoreditch branch will operate seven days a week, from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm. For further information and reservations, visit the pizzeria’s website here.
