Oriole launches late-night food menu and extended live music in Covent Garden

Covent Garden cocktail bar, Oriole has introduced a new late-night food menu, available only from 10.30pm on Wednesdays through to Saturdays. The initiative, which began this week, aims to cater to late-night visitors seeking food and entertainment after typical dining hours.

The new menu is served in Oriole’s basement dining room, which also doubles as a live music venue. Among the dishes on offer are a burger with provoleta (Argentine-style grilled provolone cheese), served with fries and truffle oil, and a chicken karaage steamed bun with tamarind. These dishes are designed to complement Oriole’s signature cocktails, which have contributed to the bar’s reputation on London’s hospitality scene.

In addition to the new food offerings, Oriole will feature extended live music performances on Friday and Saturday nights. According to the venue, these after-hours sets will include jazz, blues and world music – genres that the establishment has championed since its opening. The performances are intended to enhance the dining experience and provide entertainment for guests who visit during the new service hours. A spokesperson for Oriole stated: “Late-night revellers can descend to Oriole’s basement dining room and live music space to enjoy dishes […] alongside the team’s signature cocktails.”

The move to introduce a new menu after dark comes as London’s hospitality industry continues to adapt to changing consumer habits, with more venues seeking to attract customers during non-traditional hours. Oriole’s decision to combine food, cocktails and live music late places it among a growing number of establishments offering extended services to night-time audiences in the capital.
