Cuban Nights to bring live Latin music and rum cocktails to the Bloomsbury Club for Daiquiri Week

The Bloomsbury Club bar in central London will host Cuban Nights from 17th to 19th July 2024, a three-night event celebrating Cuban culture, music, and cocktails, in collaboration with rum brand Ron Santiago de Cuba. The event coincides with Daiquiri Week and will feature live Latin music, DJs, and a special cocktail menu running from 8th to 26th July.
The Cuban Nights series will take place on the venue’s outdoor patio. On 17th July, Marcellus & Bossa Swing Band will perform, followed by saxophonist Guido Spanocchi on 18th July. The series concludes on 19th July with a vinyl DJ set by Moralito.
The drinks menu has been created using Ron Santiago de Cuba, a rum produced in the southeast of Cuba. The brand is characterised by a smooth and sweet flavour profile. Three original cocktails have been prepared especially for this occasion: El Clasico, made with Ron Santiago de Cuba Extra Añejo 11 Years Old, lime juice, and sugar syrup; Santiago Sunset, which includes lychee elixir, a homemade spicy orange distillate, citrus juice mix, and grapefruit soda; and Cabana Royale, a blend of two Ron Santiago expressions, Cointreau, lime juice, sparkling wine, and coconut and mint flavours. Each cocktail is priced at £17.
In addition to the main event, a Frozen Banana Daiquiri will be served throughout July at The Coral Room, a bar located within the same building as The Bloomsbury Club at 16-22 Great Russell Street, WC1B 3NN.
The Cuban Nights experience will return later in the year during London Cocktail Week, scheduled for 9th to 19th October, with further details to be announced.
Ron Santiago de Cuba is available in several expressions in the UK market, ranging from Carta Blanca (38% ABV, RRP £18) to the 20 Years Old Extra Añejo Gran Reserva (40% ABV, RRP £175), passing through the Añejo 8 Years Old (ABV 40%, RRP £24) and the Extra Añejo 12 Years Old (ABV 40%, RRP £42).
