GNH Bar & Terrace brings Côte d’Azur-inspired rosé terrace to King’s Cross with Ultimate Provence collaboration

GNH Bar & Terrace at the Great Northern Hotel in King’s Cross has launched a summer terrace collaboration with French wine producer Ultimate Provence, offering a seasonal menu of rosé wines and cocktails. The initiative, which began in late June 2025, aims to bring a Côte d’Azur-inspired experience to the heart of the capital, combining themed décor with Provençal-style drinks and dishes. Located just steps away from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, the terrace has been redesigned to evoke a southern French atmosphere, featuring greenery, floral arrangements and seasonal styling. The partnership centres on Ultimate Provence’s signature rosé, a wine brand that prides itself on its modern presentation and origins in the south of France, aiming to redefine “what it means to drink pink”.

In addition to glasses of rosé, the terrace offers two new cocktails tailored for summer: the Rosé Sangria (made with Martell VS, Ultimate Provence rosé, strawberry and basil) and the Ultimate Spritz, which combines rosé with St Germain elderflower liqueur and soda water. A selection of bar snacks accompanies the drinks, including cheese and charcuterie boards and small plates. From July, the menu will also feature rotating Provençal-inspired specials such as a croque monsieur and tuna niçoise. There will also be live DJ sets on Saturdays between 3pm and 8pm to provide a musical backdrop for weekend visitors.

The Great Northern Hotel, a Grade II-listed building originally designed by King’s Cross station architect Lewis Cubitt, has operated since 1854 and underwent a full renovation in 2013. Its GNH Bar & Terrace is one of several dining and drinking venues within the hotel, which also includes Little Bar and the Rails brasserie (where Ultimate Provence rosé will also be served to those seeking a cooler, air-conditioned environment). The summer terrace is open throughout the season, with no booking required.
