Just your cup of tea – Teapot Vintage

Just your cup of tea – Teapot Vintage

I always struggle to find a vintage store where I can honestly say I like every item. That was however, until now. Teapot Vintage is my idea of heaven. Based in Manchester, this little, quirky label has everything cool and classic for the perfect vintage look. It is owned and run by Jack and Rebecca and since being launched in 2011 has blossomed into a well-known name.

Teapot Vintage started through Jack and Rebecca’s love of second-hand clothes; like me, they enjoy rummaging through charity shops for bargains and those unique pieces you always seem to stumble upon. However, these two became annoyed by the pricey labels that started appearing on old pieces of clothing, with some shops trying to pass them off as ‘vintage’.  Instead of sitting back and paying, they decided to do something about it. They also wanted to create a store full of items and garments that they had handpicked themselves. This was not necessary for the unique and personal touch, but to ensure that the clothing they did sell wasn’t excessively large or hard to style with your existing wardrobe.

It all really seems too good to be true but somehow Teapot Vintage gets even better. Already being affordable and fashionable, Jack and Rebecca want to be as interactive as possible with their customers, and use social networking sites as their medium to do this. When buying their pieces, they will use popular sites to encourage people just like us to suggest what kind or type of clothing we are looking to buy. They then take these ideas with them when they buy their items, serving our needs as a priority for their store.

I think it is the prices that really make Teapot Vintage special, as these days it is hard to find beautiful vintage clothing without breaking the bank. This label has shown that it is possible to buy what you really love and do it on a budget. Dresses are all priced around £16, scarves from £5 and tees from £8. There is even a section for men, leaving it impossible to find anything wrong with this wonderful website!

Teapot Vintage is constantly updated with stock and there are sneak previews of what is going to be up and coming in the store too. Find yourself a vintage treat by clicking here.
