The Langham unveils nostalgic family Christmas with festive experiences and Hamleys partnership

The Langham, London will launch its festive season celebrations on 10th November with a Christmas programme centred on nostalgia, playfulness and family experiences. The hotel, which sits at the top of Regent Street, is collaborating with iconic toy retailer Hamleys to offer a range of seasonal activities and offerings, including a themed afternoon tea, a Christmas grotto and creative classes for all ages.

The collaboration is returning for another year, and will see the hotel’s Palm Court host a Hamleys-themed Festive Afternoon Tea (at £75 per child and £95 per adult – or £105 with champagne), where children can enjoy toy-inspired patisseries and adults are served a traditional tea with a whimsical twist. From 15th to 24th December, the Hamleys Grotto will also return, offering families a chance to meet Father Christmas, enjoy seasonal treats and receive a gift. Tickets for the grotto cost £275 for up to four people and are available to book from 13th October.

The hotel’s public spaces will be decorated with Christmas trees and seasonal displays, and the Sleigh Stop in the hotel lobby will serve mulled wine and mince pies daily from 4–6pm throughout December. Visitors can also participate in the KidsOut Giving Tree initiative, which invites guests to purchase gifts for children in need, by scanning QR codes on bauble tags or leaving presents under the tree.

Dining and drinks across the hotel will reflect the festive theme. At The Wigmore, guests can enjoy seasonal punch and classic board games, while at the Artesian bar, two special cocktails – a Mandarin Bellini and a Coconut Cocktail – will be served, with a chance to win a complimentary drink by rolling a 12 on the dice.

The hotel’s cookery school, Sauce by The Langham, will run classes throughout November and December, including wreath-making with florist Farima Perry, wine and cheese tastings with sommelier Rémi Cousin, and gingerbread house decorating for children aged 4 to 10.

An in-room experience, Langham Movie Magic Nights, will offer guests festive film screenings accompanied by a hamper of snacks and champagne, and for families staying in suites between 15th and 24th December, there is a £275 Hamleys Suite Package, which includes access to the Christmas grotto and other seasonal events. From 13th December, the hotel will introduce The 12 Treats of Christmas, a daily series of surprise giveaways and experiences ranging from roasted chestnuts and photo booths to prize tombolas. The venue invites visitors to “release your inner child” as it transforms into a “playground of wonder”.
