Dishoom launches special iftar menu for Ramadan across all UK locations

Dishoom, the popular Indian restaurant chain known for their homage to the Irani cafés of Bombay, has announced the launch of a special Iftar menu to mark the holy month of Ramadan. From Tuesday 17th February to Wednesday 18th March, all Dishoom cafés in the UK will offer a curated dining experience for guests breaking their fast at sunset, available for groups of six or more. The feast, priced at £38 per person, includes non-vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan options, and aims to cater to families and communities gathering for the traditional evening meal. It reflects a wider trend among UK restaurants to acknowledge and accommodate the needs of Muslim diners during Ramadan.

The offering features a selection of dishes such as Okra Fries, House Chaat, Chicken Tikka and Chole. Diners can expect a “generous spread of much-loved dishes”, designed to be shared, reflecting the communal spirit of Ramadan, when Muslims around the world come together for suhoor (the pre-dawn meal) and iftar (the evening meal when the fast is broken). Recognising the tradition of breaking the fast with dates, Dishoom will also serve complimentary Medjool dates.

In addition to the set menu, Dishoom is introducing a Ramadan special: Lamb Korma with Khamiri Roti. This Mughlai-inspired dish is described as “made for celebratory tables”, with lamb that is slow-cooked until tender in a sauce with cashews, onions and a blend of spices. The Lamb Korma will be available at all Dishoom cafés and every Permit Room during the same period, priced at £24.90.
