Often seen as an indulgent treat or a complex concoction, chocolate ganache is actually a simple and elegant way to spruce up any dessert or tea-time delicacy. Even for those not quite so gifted in the kitchen…

Follow my three step plan for a quick and easy ganache that will keep you at the top of the party invitation list for sure!

Chocolate ganache

What you will need:

200g chocolate (milk, dark or white – your choice)

150g double cream

1 pinch of salt

Microwaveable bowl

Spoon

Microwave

What you need to do:

  1. Break the chocolate up into small pieces and place into a microwaveable bowl. Heat in the microwave on 800W for 3-4 mins or until melted (make sure to keep checking so it doesn’t burn).
  2. When melted pour in the double cream a little at a time and mix to combine.
  3. Season with salt to taste and place in the fridge to set. And voilà! A yummy chocolate ganache to use however you please. In just three easy steps.
