Michelin-starred chef Mory Sacko to cook one-night dinner at The Aubrey in London

Michelin-starred French chef Mory Sacko is cooking a five-course dinner at The Aubrey, the Japanese izakaya at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, to mark the launch of his new cookbook, A Cook’s Journey.
The menu has been created specifically for the evening, exploring the flavours and cultural influences that shape the Sacko’s cooking, which combines French technique with West African heritage and Japanese influence. The latter strand of the chef’s style makes The Aubrey a natural fit for a collaboration, as the restaurant takes its inspiration from the drinking dens of Tokyo, serving Japanese food and cocktails.
Describing his approach, Sacko said: “My cuisine exists nowhere else, because it is through it that I tell my story, a story that is both personal and universal.”
The chef was born in the Paris suburbs in 1992. He opened his first restaurant, Mosuke, in Paris in 2020, and it was awarded a Michelin star within months. He has since launched Mosugo, a more casual concept centred on fried chicken, and he cooks at various pop-ups and collaborations abroad – including this upcoming London dinner. Bookings are open now.
