Daly’s Wine Bar on The Strand relaunches as dual-concept after major refurbishment

Daly’s Wine Bar, a longstanding establishment on The Strand in central London, has reopened this month under a new name and concept. Now called Daly’s Wine Bar & Beer Hall, the venue has undergone a full refurbishment and relaunched with a dual offering: a wine bar on the upper floor and a beer hall below. The revamped space aims to cater to a broad clientele, from after-work drinkers to weekend socialisers, and is situated opposite the Royal Courts of Justice, a short walk from Temple station.

The upstairs wine bar features a curated wine list developed in partnership with Berkmann Wine Cellar. The selection includes wines by the glass, bottle and magnum, ranging from accessible options like Bodega Norton Finca La Colonia Malbec and Portuguese Vinho Verde Anjos, to premium offerings from the Cellar Reserve Collection, including Macán Clásico Rioja by Rothschild Vega Sicilia. Sparkling wines from producers such as Nyetimber and Veuve Clicquot are also available, alongside cocktails, liqueurs and non-alcoholic alternatives.

The food menu, overseen by Head Chef Tahreem Hossain, focuses on refined British comfort food. Dishes include sharing plates such as Prawn and Duck Fat Rillettes, Cobble Lane Charcuterie Boards, British cheese selections, and mains like Oxfordshire steaks and elevated pub classics. The space comprises a private dining room, the Court Room, which can accommodate up to 30 seated guests or 50 standing.

Downstairs, the Beer Hall offers a contrasting experience. With 16 beers on draft, the selection entails craft options such as Beavertown Neck Oil, Deya’s Magazine Cover, Asahi, and Jubel Peach Lager. The food menu presents pub-style dishes, the likes of Giant Pretzels, Sausage Swirls with honey and mustard, Pulled Lamb Croquettes, and Cheddar Rarebit with grilled chorizo.

The Beer Hall also has two interactive, pre-bookable electric dart boards and large screens showing live sports via SKY and TNT Sports. Upcoming events include an Oktoberfest celebration with a menu of German-inspired dishes made with British ingredients, and Christmas party packages ranging from beer and darts to champagne and charcuterie.
